Marketing Movies
Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog!
We are getting closer to starting the film process, and I will be taking you on the whole journey
This year, one of the aspects I am heavily focusing on is the advertising for my film. As mentioned in previous blogs, I made an Instagram for a music video, to help market it. I have learned a lot about the platform, and I plan on using it for my upcoming film. Be sure to go follow @attention_attention_film on Instagram. To help get ideas, I have analyzed the marketing for two similar films, and see what I would like to utilize on my marketing journey.
Saltburn
Movie Poster
In this movie poster, the creator put the people as melting, which is indicative of an ulterior motive
for the murder of the people within the film. It is very whimsical and evokes a feeling of further complexity that is depicted in the film. I like this and will take inspiration from it because it describes the movie without giving too much away. The quotes are also a key element in this movie poster, among other things."We're about to lose our minds" is on the top of the poster. It describes the roller coaster of emotions that the watcher has when watching the movie. In addition,

Everything Everywhere All at Once
Movie Poster
This poster is one of my favorites. It has a lot going on, but everything within it pertains to and even shows what the movie will be about. The poster's craziness is shown in the film with the constant shift to the different realities and how every little thing matters. From the extended fingers to the raccoon to the little award things on each corner of the poster, each is included in the movie. However, the poster is usually shown before the film is watched, so most of these items are unknown. It helps to create a demand for movies, and it's very cool to see how the elements all come together in the end.
Movie Website
This is the website for everything everywhere, all at once. This website lists all the movie's leading actors and producers and has all the places to watch the film. This website also contains various articles, interpretations, and merchandise related to the movie. It gives the watcher a resource to go to after the movie is watched. One aspect of the website that I really enjoy and would like to include when making my film is the bloopers and outtake videos. It was delightful to watch and helps to connect the viewer with the actors, and the movie overall. Lastly, the website has a shop in which one can shop for various items found in the movie. This is really cool because it allows the audience to buy a piece of the movie.
