Update on my Film!
Hello all!
It is that time of the year where I give an update on my film.
Filming
I have not started the actual filming. But I have compile dates that I will be filming. In order to get an actor, I have to travel. Due to this, it is vital that I have all my storylines, and camera equipment ready. I have made a little checklist the things I need to do before I start filming!
Storyboard and Storylines:
- Storyboard: Create a visual representation of my scenes. Sketch out each shot, including camera angles, movements, and transitions.
- Storylines: Refine my plotlines. Ensure consistency, character development, and engaging arcs. Consider subplots and how they intertwine.
Script Finalization:
- Review and Edit: Polish my script. Check dialogue, pacing, and overall flow. Make sure it aligns with my vision.
- Character Descriptions: Flesh out my characters. Understand their motivations, conflicts, and growth.
Editing
I am very excited for this part. I have a lot of plans for what I want the editing to be. One of the main things is a filter. I want a filter that makes it seem like a bit of a daydream, then switch it toward the wend to show an awakening. I was inspired by Wes Anderson films to do this. I love the use of vibrant colors, and how it almost feels like a book. I would like to show this on a smaller scale in my film.
Mise-en-scene
I have been planning props and location. I will most likely be going to a small island to film it. This will help increase the overall look of the film, and it is also closer to the location of where my actor will be.
Marketing
I have created my Instagram, and have posted some things to update. One of my goals is to post more in the upcoming weeks. Especially when I start getting closer to the filming of it. I would also like to make posts after the filming has been done, in order to gain curiosity about it. Go follow my instagram.
